Scaltech was founded in 1986 in Houston, Texas to provide on site waste management services to the U.S. refinery industry. Over time Scaltech expanded to about 20 waste management plants. In 1997 Scaltech formed Scaltech International to expand its operations to Mexico and the Carribean and U.S. Oil Recovery to perform waste processing services in Company owned facilities.

 

In 2001, Scaltech sold its US on site waste processing business and focused its efforts on U.S. Oil Recovery and Scaltech International. Since the expiration of a non compete agreement for on site waste processing, Scaltech is again offering on site waste processing services in the US through U.S. Oil Recovery LP.

 

Today Scaltech is a leading provider of petroleum waste treatment and environmental remediation. The expertise of Scaltech’s process engineers, coupled with extensive plant design, construction and operating experience, and our proprietary technologies, enable us to offer the safest, most cost effective solutions for the treatment and disposal of oily waste and contaminated soil of any service provider in the industry.

Scaltech designs, builds and operates proprietary waste processing systems.  These systems are configured to meet the needs of each specific customer.  Our complete system provides centralized waste management and processing for all oily waste.

 

Using both standard horizontal centrifuges and proprietary, high-speed vertical disk centrifuges, oily wastes are separated into water, solids and oil phases.  The oil phase is high quality and recovered for further refining.  Using proprietary processes and specially designed equipment, the waste solids are processed to facilitate their recycling or disposal. The options consist of: cement kiln recycling, coker recycling, landfarming and thermal desorption. Our technologies and extensive successful experience enable us to provide our customers cost-effective management of oily and industrial wastes.
